Abstract

A high-voltage plastic-like, rechargeable lithium battery was assembled by laminating a lithium foil anode, a polyacrylonitrile-based gel electrolyte membrane, and a cathode film formed by a blend of chromium-stabilized lithium manganese spinel, (active material) carbon (conductive material) polyvinyl chloride (PVC), and polytetraethylene fluoride, (PTEF) (binders). The characteristics and performance of this battery are presented and discussed.
